Job Title: RN Care Manager (Home Health)
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Department: Home Health – Skilled Nursing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Shift: First Shift (8 Hours)
As the RN Manager – Surgery
, you will create and sustain an environment where nurses and surgical support teams deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care. You will maintain a strong presence within the department, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary leaders, and ensure operational excellence across perioperative services.
The successful candidate will champion quality outcomes, staff development, patient safety, and continuous improvement while fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership- Lead daily operations of the Operating Room department
- Promote evidence-based clinical practice and patient safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Monitor quality metrics and implement performance improvement strategies
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top nursing talent
- Build strong leadership infrastructure through charge nurses and clinical champions
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development planning
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and open communication
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Support patient throughput and surgical efficiency initiatives
- Oversee department readiness, equipment safety, and emergency preparedness
- Address operational challenges and patient care concerns proactively
- Partner with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in patient care rounds and care coordination efforts
- Drive improvements in patient, family, and physician satisfaction
- Ensure exceptional perioperative experiences and outcomes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and sound clinical judgment
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
- Previous Operating Room leadership experience
- Five years of clinical nursing experience
- Two years of acute care hospital nursing experience
- National nursing specialty certification
- BLS/CPR certification
