Emergency Room Nurse in Simi Valley, California. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the emergency department, following established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse will supervise and direct various levels of nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and employ critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details- Schedule:
Days shift with start times at 9am and 11am; minimum of 36 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred;
Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred;
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor required;
Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or equivalent required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required;
Epic electronic medical record system experience required. - Additional Information:
The role involves providing direct patient care, assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. This position emphasizes safety, patient-centered care, and operational efficiency.
