Key responsibilities and daily duties

Each day you’ll work at one of our recycling facilities that service over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the service and repair of heavy equipment like bulldozers, scrapers and front-end loaders—the equipment is vital to the work we do, so your work will be recognized and valued for its impact on our operation.

Our waste disposal sites operate a rigorous cleaning schedule to protect the working environment for all our disposal employees.

• Repair equipment including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front-end loaders, yard trucks, farm tractors, forklifts, and company cars
• Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance as outlined by the site checklist
• Handle paperwork and admin tasks such as work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil samples
• Service and maintain other equipment such as light plants, water pumps, welders, and related equipment

• 6 years of maintenance mechanic experience on heavy equipment
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
