Position Overview

General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart, Simi Valley, CA. Responsible for maintaining and repairing store facilities, equipment, and assets to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment expertise.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders, supporting store associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety and equipment training.

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years of experience in the same trades.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights; able to move on ladders frequently.
• Can sit or stand for long periods; work in various temperatures.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

• Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
• License in related trade for the local city/state.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $42.00. Additional bonuses may be disclosed during interview.
