Heavy Equipment Operator & CDL Driver
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators & CDL Drivers for projects located in the Simi Valley, CA area. This is a first & third shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28-33/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Operate front-end loaders, motor graders, haul trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Load, transport, stockpile, and dump aggregate and sand materials
- Maintain haul roads, berms, and site grading to support mining operations
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with MSHA, DOT, and Cal-OSHA standards
- Monitor equipment performance and reporting maintenance concerns
- Assist with plant operations, crushing activities, and general site support when needed
- Follow all safety procedures, startup/shutdown protocols, and emergency response requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, surveyors, and production teams
Requirements:
- 1+ years of heavy equipment or commercial driving experience
- Experience operating loaders, graders, haul trucks, or similar construction/mining equipment
- Valid Class A CDL required for driver positions
- Comfortable climbing ladders, working around heavy machinery, and lifting up to 50–100 lbs
