Position Overview

The Warehouse Manager (GMP Environment) is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and material handling in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

This role ensures materials are received, stored, documented, and distributed in accordance with regulatory standards while maintaining a safe, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment. The Warehouse Manager is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining warehouse-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse (GMP) Operations & Inventory

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
• Ensure accurate material movement and real-time inventory updates in inventory management systems
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages, overstock, or material expiration
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready warehouse

GMP Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with applicable GMP regulations and internal quality standards
• Create, implement, and maintain warehouse-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Draft and manage controlled documents including work instructions, forms, and logs
• Ensure accurate documentation for material receipt, storage, distribution, and traceability
• Support internal audits, supplier audits, and regulatory inspections
• Maintain audit readiness at all times

Shipping, Receiving & Regulatory Compliance

• Review and maintain shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, segregated, and stored per GMP requirements
• Coordinate with Quality and Procurement teams regarding material discrepancies or nonconformances
• Support proper handling of regulated or hazardous materials

Equipment, Safety & Training

• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures and OSHA compliance
• Participate in company-sponsored forklift and HAZMAT certification programs
• Train warehouse personnel on SOPs, documentation standards, and safety protocols

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum five years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
• Certifications: Forklift certification or ability to obtain
• Skills: Computer proficiency (inventory systems, email, basic reporting)
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirement
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards and compliance

Certifications & Training

• Company-sponsored forklift certification (if not already certified)
• Company-sponsored HAZMAT certification

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance, as appropriate.
• Ability to work in office, manufacturing, warehouse, and/or controlled environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to safely work around manufacturing equipment and operational areas.
