Job DescriptionAs a Box Office Agent in our iconic venues, you'll be the first point of contact for music fans eager to
experience unforgettable performances and historic tours. You'll sell tickets, handle guest inquiries,
process transactions, and provide information about upcoming events. As the ideal candidate, you'll
share exceptional guest service skills and genuine enthusiasm for live music and our musical legacy
throughout Opry Entertainment Group's portfolio of venues.
- Provide directions and information. Maintain thorough knowledge of our products, services, and venue histories. Share detailed information about attractions, services, and offerings.
- Facilitate ticket sales and distribution. Process payments, issue tickets, and assist guests with virtual tickets.
- Deliver exceptional guest service. Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable support to customers both in-person and over the phone.
- Use ticketing systems and software. Ensure accuracy to support exceptional guest service and sales. Promptly report equipment or system issues to management.
- Troubleshoot guest service issues (lost tickets, ticket transfers, misunderstandings, etc.). Resolve and de-escalate service issues. Escalate complex issues to supervisor as needed.
- Adapt to evolving processes and technologies. Embrace training, feedback, and new ideas to continuously improve sales and service skills.
- Promptly communicate ticketing discrepancies to corporate ticketing department to improve guest purchase experience.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shared workspace.
- Follow all corporate standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulations. Maintain personal integrity, support company principles, and follow brand SOPs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years' experience in guest service preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic computer knowledge/skills required
- Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support business needs
Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating computers. Frequently sit with some walking and standing. Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Continual use of gross motor skills. Frequently use bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills for computer use.
Working ConditionsHigh volume ticketing office in close proximity to others.
