As part of the EMEA R&D team, the Application Specialist supports the development and validation of innovative packaging solutions, focusing on how materials perform with customer equipment and products. The Application Expert works closely with the R&D Process and Analytical teams and other technical functions to support testing, product evaluations, and trials, helping to prepare and execute test plans, fitness-for-use assessments, and technical evaluations under senior guidance.

- You support the development, design, and execution of trials to validate the performance and reliability of packaging materials, equipment, and their interactions.
- You help generate high-quality test results and technical documentation to support data-driven decisions.
- You contribute ideas for improving existing product lines and supporting the development of new products, based on an understanding of materials, equipment, and customer operations.
- You support the market introduction of newly released systems through field monitoring, data collection, and technical follow-up.
- You contribute to projects related to supply chain improvements, manufacturing processes, and raw materials by helping assess the impact of changes on material performance.
- You collaborate with sustainability experts to support the design of products aligned with upcoming PPWR regulatory requirements.
- You are willing to learn, develop technical expertise, and grow within the R&D organization while contributing to cross-functional projects.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering/Science, Food/Meat Science, or a related technical field. Previous experience or internship exposure in packaging, equipment, automation, materials, or a related industrial environment is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a packaging, technical, engineering, R&D, quality, or manufacturing-related role. Candidates with relevant academic projects, internships, or early-career experience will also be considered.
- Basic understanding of packaging materials, packaging equipment, testing methods, or product application is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to prepare clear test summaries, reports, and documentation based on data and observations.
- Good organizational skills, willingness to learn and proactive attitude.
