Position Overview

This position will lead and drive key projects within JOST Agriculture NA Inc. Support local manufacturing by means of programming, creating BOMs/routings, and continuous improvement methods. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties, with authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Areas of Responsibility
  • Lead and drive key projects within JOST Agriculture NA Inc.
  • Collaborate with project team members to create a strategic action plan including cost estimates of materials.
  • Facilitate and track ECN implementation at the local manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and maintain routings, costing, and bills of materials in an ERP system utilizing time studies, standard data, and other estimating tools for local manufacturing.
  • Update and maintain production job travelers for fabrication and welding departments.
  • Track project deliverables and provide updates to management team on status and progress.
  • Create and maintain project timelines to ensure that internal/external targets and deadlines are met.
  • Assist R&D in product fit‑ups and prototyping, including travel as needed.
  • Create both technical and logistical solutions to bring products to market in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
  • Analyze equipment, systems, processes and other systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
  • Create and maintain professional engineering & quality documentation within the field of product development, including product testing and assembly.
  • Supervise and review work of project team members involved with assigned projects.
  • Travel 5–15% per year, as required (domestically and internationally).
  • Perform other duties as required and directed.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • In lieu of degree, seven plus years salaried engineering experience in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment or project management.
  • Previous experience in Health and Safety and ISO 9001 requirements.
Required Skills
  • Experience with project management and working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Must be proficient utilizing 3D modeling software (Solid Edge, Creo, Pro/Engineer, etc.).
  • Experience with Sigma Nest or other plasma/laser nesting software.
  • Knowledgeable of basic concepts, principles, practices, and established manufacturing procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA laws and regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of company products and comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
  • Works in non‑climate‑controlled factory and in climate‑controlled office.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
