Under the general direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Project Engineering Intern supports the development and improvement of project systems and related activities, with a focus on cost reduction, operational efficiency, process flow, and safety. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and support within a dynamic engineering environment. This role will assist with various phases of engineering projects while gaining exposure to real-world applications of engineering principles and project management practices.

  AutoCAD and Microsoft Project experience is a plus.
• Safety and Compliance Awareness - Understands the importance of safety protocols and applicable regulatory standards. Supports efforts to maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support project engineers in the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects.
• Support low- to medium-complexity projects, from detailed planning through execution and final delivery.
• Assist with the development and implementation of manufacturing and building improvements.
• Support pilot tests and prototypes to evaluate equipment applicability and process efficiency.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, process, quality, and maintenance, to support project objectives.

Physical demands include:

• Ability to move safely throughout manufacturing floors, construction sites, and project areas, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders for extended periods.
• Ability to hear alarms, instructions, and workplace communications in noisy environments.
• May be required to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as tools, equipment, or samples, as needed.
