Position: Forklift Operator I
Position Summary:

Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Pay: $17.85

Shift: Night

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors incoming materials, comparing identifying information and counting, weighing and/or measuring items to verify accuracy.
Put away inbound items. Examines incoming materials to ensure that they are intact anddamage free. Operates lift truck or handtruck to move, convey or hoist materials to staging areas or rack locations.
Pulls items for further processing. Determines area and location for transfer of material.

Records all shortages and damages and reports issues to team leader for further investigation.
Prepares, stages materials for truck loading. Counts and transports materials for customer andintra company freight. Transports materials, scrap, supplies as needed for manufacturing.
Coordinate with Machine Operators to ensure that proper amount of correct material is available at machinery to allow for uninterrupted production.
Inspect lift (battery or gas) daily and perform maintenance on the vehicle and report any maintenance deficiencies.
Responsible for transporting pallet covers and pallets from inventory racks and warehouse, to production area.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

1-3 years of relevant experience
Ability to interface effectively with employees, vendors and customers of all levels.
Flexibility within a high performance work environment.
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Able to work without close supervision.
Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.

Other Requirements:

Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications, SAP and Sym-ple experience preferred.
Forklift Certification preferred.
