Job Title
Responsibilities:
- Develop partnerships with senior managers, IPTs, customers, and quality functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies
- Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
- Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency
- Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA)
- Facilitate the completion of internal and customer required First Article Inspection (FAI) Reviews
- Participation and preparation for customer, third party regulatory and internal audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have some type of aerospace or DoD experience or something regulated
- Must have first article inspection
- Working experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Working experience leading teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.
- Working experience in providing technical program support for manufacturing and/or design processes.
- Six Sigma, Lean, and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications
- Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.
- Experience Reviewing Purchase Orders, Customer Drawings, Corrective Action Requests (CAR)
- Experience interfacing directly with customers
- Experience leading customer audits
- Experience presenting, reviewing and/or approving changes through a formal Change Board.
- Experience exercising judgement and apply resolution-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention.
- Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
- Experience translating system requirements and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance is flowed down through product, assembly, and test documentation.
- Experience applying people skills and working with customers, suppliers, and in a team environment.
- Experience in First Article Inspections per AS9102.
- Experience in one or all of the following is highly desired:
Six Sigma, Process Certification, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) - Experienced in 8D, quality tools, 5 Whys of Root Cause Analysis, and SPC analysis
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team and provide forecasting to reach established goals
- Ability to assimilate, analyze, and present data to leaders, customers, and peers
- Experiencing interfacing with internal and external customers as well as all levels of personnel
