GE&S is seeking an experienced Warehouse Safety Manager to lead OSHA compliance, warehouse operations, and inventory management functions. This position is responsible for overseeing receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, shipping, material handling, and warehouse personnel while ensuring effective support for manufacturing, refurbishment, and distribution operations.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with the ability to manage warehouse safety initiatives while upholding the highest standards of safety, organization, productivity, and customer service.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Safety Manager directs all warehouse operations at General Equipment & Supply, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehouse organization, material handling, and distribution activities. This role ensures that materials and products are accurately received, stored, tracked, and shipped in alignment with production schedules and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
- Direct and oversee all daily warehouse operations.
- Ensure the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of materials and products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Monitor workflow and implement processes that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain warehouse procedures and operational best practices.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, refurbished equipment, parts, and finished goods.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Ensure that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in company systems.
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures that minimize shrinkage and loss.
Shipping & Receiving
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Verify incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of customer orders and shipments.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and transportation providers.
- Maintain shipping documentation, bills of lading, and receiving records.
- Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise warehouse personnel and assign daily responsibilities.
- Train employees on warehouse procedures, safety practices, and company policies.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management activities.
- Schedule staff to maintain appropriate coverage and operational efficiency.
Production & Operations Support
- Coordinate with manufacturing and refurbishment teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
- Support production schedules through effective inventory planning and warehouse organization.
- Assist with the movement of materials between warehouse and production areas.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to prevent inventory shortages and delays.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Conduct routine warehouse safety inspections.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and report workplace incidents and safety concerns.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Develop and monitor warehouse performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports related to inventory, shipping activities, warehouse performance, and KPIs.
- Recommend process improvements and support implementation efforts.
- Assist leadership with operational planning and forecasting initiatives.
