- Adaptability: Transition smoothly between different grade levels or subject areas based on daily building needs.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment for all students.
- Collaboration: Work alongside our world-class faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and student success.
- Professionalism: Adhere to district policies and maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
- Consistent Work: Guaranteed daily hours throughout the school year.
- Community: Build lasting professional relationships with teachers, administrators, and students in a single building.
- Professional Growth: Gain diverse experience across multiple subjects and grade levels ideal for aspiring educators.
- Certification: Connecticut State Department of Education Elementary Teaching Certification or eligibility.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree required (State of Connecticut requirement for substitute teaching).
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, and the ability to think on your feet.
- Background: Must pass a standard criminal background check and finger-printing process.
- Competitive daily: $200 per day
- Consistent Monday Friday schedule (no nights or weekends).
- Illness Days
