Simsbury Public Schools is seeking caring, dependable, and student-centered individuals to serve as substitute para educators. Substitute para educators provide support to students and classroom teachers on an as-needed basis across our schools, ensuring students continue to receive assistance in a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for a flexible work schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

• Provide support to students and classroom teachers on an as-needed basis.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional activities.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other staff.
• Adapt instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain professional and reliable conduct at all times.

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational or related setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff.
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners.
• Reliable, professional, and dependable.
