Overview
Responsible for working with site leaders to identify and implement continuous improvement in all areas of site operations.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations.
- Increase site productivity by implementing standard work, line balancing, and removing bottlenecks, in collaboration with the site management team.
- Establish baseline, develop measures/targets, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Align with the Business Excellence framework and identify/implement strategies to reduce waste and improve quality, directly impacting site costs.
- Use technical know-how for time studies, material/machine/information flows, layouts, and other analyses to identify improvements.
- Lead and/or implement improvements with controls in place to sustain results.
- Collect and analyze data, make recommendations, and drive implementation of opportunities.
- Gather and analyze manufacturing information to provide reliable data to implement solutions that drive business results.
- Introduce innovative ideas and technologies and act as a change agent to effectively implement and sustain them.
- Ensure and/or support compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards and relevant acts/regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Computer proficiency in Windows; experience with SAP and Minitab preferred.
- Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience is helpful.
- Ability to independently identify process problems/opportunities, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
- Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with maintenance teams and outside contractors.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
- This temporary Process Engineer position will be eligible for our base medical benefits package.
