This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions.

The Test Services Team is hiring! We're looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Test Technician to support our Shock Team on 2nd Shift. If you love solving problems, thrive in fast-paced environments, and get energized by technology that matters, this role is for you.

This is a 2nd shift position located at our facility in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities

The Test Technician position supports environmental testing of development and production products.

Duties include:

  • Test evaluation, set-up and performance
  • Equipment preventive maintenance and calibration
  • Test data reporting
  • Equipment troubleshooting and repair

Primary responsibility will be evaluation, set-up and performance of Shock, Acceleration and Climatic testing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STDs, and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting, working outdoors and overtime may be required.

Requirements
  • Education:

    High School Diploma (associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
  • A Safety mindset with attention to detail, as well as Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving and communication skills are required.
  • Candidates must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.
  • Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.
