Senior Accountant

Overview

An international trading and logistics group specialising in bulk materials supply is expanding its finance team as the company continues to grow across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. They are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who can ensure accurate financial reporting, strong compliance and support process improvements in a fast-moving, cross-border environment.

• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule.
• Collaborate with local service providers for account management and tax declarations.
• Ensure tax declarations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
• Provide technical support and advice on management.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Ideally ACCA or CPA.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting.
• Experience working in a Big 4 company and or a physical trading company is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Netsuite and Salesforce is optional.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
