Financial Accountant

This position has the responsibility for all financial accounting matters in Singapore relating to the operation of the service company. It includes close liaison with the Head of Finance in Singapore and the Finance teams in Australia and London. This position is well suited for a university graduate with an accounting or finance related degree looking to undertake their professional exams or someone in the process of taking exams.

• Preparation of ledger entries relating to premiums, claims, expenses, accruals, cash
• Preparation of quarterly GST reporting to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore.
• Processing of monthly employee and supplier payments through SAP Concur.
• Build a strong working relationship and strong working processes to ensure smooth communication between the Singapore, Australia and London offices.
• Support Management on any ad hoc duties.
• To assist on internal reporting and external audits.

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Possess basic knowledge of accounting principles; familiarity with Lloyd’s business and operations would be an advantage
• Have exposure or understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes, reconciliations, and cash accounting
• Be computer literate
• Experience with SUN Accounting systems and SAP Concur is advantageous but not mandatory
• Exhibit good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
