About the role:

Reporting to the MENA/APAC Region Accountant, the APAC Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations within the APAC region. This includes supporting the sales invoicing process, managing accounts receivable, overseeing credit control, and ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions.
The APAC Accountant will assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end accounts, work closely with auditors, and maintain the local tax reconciliation and VAT returns. Additionally, you will handle various administrative and organizational tasks, including managing cashflow, bank reconciliations, payroll journals, and supplier statement reconciliations
About the team:
You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team, with key operations based in the APAC region. As our Motive team continues to expand, our finance team in the APAC region plays an integral role in supporting the business's financial health and smooth operations.
You will also be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.
Responsibilities:
People
Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
Support Sales Invoicing and process accounts receivable, client statements and credit control
Responsible for communicating with creditors
Credit control, follow up with customers to clear overdue debtors balance
Preparation of inputs for year-end accounts and liaise with Auditors
Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders - clients, colleagues etc

HSEQ - compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
Product
Working to specific deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Processing payments for approval on online banking system
Assist local tax advisers with bi-monthly VAT Return preparation and reconciliation
Complete month end tasks as per timetable
Responsible for Asia Pacific email address, raising issues as received.
Continual monitoring and updating of weekly cashflow
Responsibility of daily bank reconciliation
Prepare and process monthly payroll journal
Preparation of projects file, calculation of COS accruals and WIP
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentary
Accounts Payable processing, supplier statement reconciliations and expenses processing
Required skills / knowledge:
Significant experience in a similar position.
Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
The successful candidate must be a resident of Singapore
Ability to work with staff at all levels in both Finance and non-Finance roles.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Self-starter with the ability to manage their own workload.
Finance system knowledge, Sage 200 experience is an advantage.
