The Sioux Center Schools are looking for energetic and compassionate individuals to join our Middle School Special Education Team to help our special needs students for the 26-27 school year.

Basic Function of the Position: Assist students and teachers in the learning environment.

Qualifications

• Mandatory:
  High School Graduate
• Ability to work with people
• Ability to organize and maintain files and materials
• Desirable:
  Past paraprofessional experience

• Assist students in the modifications to their individual education program.
• Maintain group discipline in an education setting.
• Organize education material or ideas.
• Establish & maintain relationships with students.
• Mentor students on their study and life skills.
• Monitor student classroom activities.
• Use behavior modification techniques.
• Participate in staff training programs.

• Employed by the Sioux Center Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent.
• Directly reports to the building principal
• The salary for this position is set by the Sioux Center Community School Board of Education and is an hourly rate of pay
