* ** Summary
* ** The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the patients that follows the care plan and assists each patient to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition.  
** General Hours of Work
*** 8 or 12 hour shift rotation (weekends, holidays and call rotation)  
** Education and/or Experience
*** Completion of 75 hours CNA course required. Prefer high school diploma or GED. Prior related work experience preferred. Attends 12 hours of in-service training yearly. Bi-lingual experience preferred but not required.  
** Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
*** Must provide proof of completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Course. Must obtain CPR certification within 3 months of hire date.  
** Essential Functions
*** Provides bedside care for the patient(s), take vital signs and passes fresh water, helps pass food trays and assists with feeding when necessary, collects urine specimens ordered for specific patients, maintains accurate intake and output of fluids as ordered on patients, conducts hourly rounding and answers call lights. Removes peripheral IVs and foley catheters, perform flu and strep waive testing and bladder scans, and use glucometer to test blood sugars.
