SUMMARY
The laboratory support technician provides support to laboratory staff. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects on a daily basis; primarily focused on ensuring the laboratory operates efficiently.

Has no supervisory responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day to day functions of laboratory
- Preparation of various media using filter or steam sterilization techniques learned through on-the-job training.
- Preparing, cleaning, and sterilization of glassware and equipment used in various procedures.
- Concurrent record keeping related to all pertinent documentation
- Communicate with various departments within the lab
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company
- Ability to multitask
- Must cope well under pressure
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
