District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home;

- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
- Make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name.
- Assist customers by escorting them to desired products, securing hard-to-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service, including taking customer orders.
- Take customer orders at the Market Grille counter.
- Work with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Review orders for the day.
- Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness.
- Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand and develop or follow a production list.
- Anticipate product needs for the department on a daily basis.
- Prepare and replenish product as necessary; pull product from cooler/freezer to prepare for cooking.
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
- Run the department registers, receive payment, and make change.
- Remove trash in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
- Follow company policies and individual store guidelines.
- Report to work when scheduled and on time.
- Wash dishes as necessary.
- Order product and supplies as necessary.
- Price products for customers as necessary.
- Deliver orders as needed.
- Assist in other areas of store as needed.
- Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
Must be able to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables. Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copy figures, count and record. Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
Education and ExperienceNo education requirement. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Must perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
WorkingConditions
The duties are normally conducted in a store environment. There is significant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals/solvents, possible electrical shock and temperature extremes.
Equipment UsedStandard kitchen tools and equipment including disposal, trash compactor, slicer, Hobart machine, grill, fryer, dishwasher, register system, ovens, rotisserie, knives, label maker, and company vehicle.
ContactsDaily contact with the general public and customers. Contact with federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
