Overview
Dordt University is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and strategic professional to serve in a dual role as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach and the American State Bank (ASB) Sports Complex Assistant. This unique position offers the opportunity to contribute to the competitive success of our Women’s Soccer program while playing a vital administrative role in the management of our premier indoor athletic facility.
The successful candidate will report to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach for coaching duties and the Director of the ASB Sports Complex for facility operations.
- Intercollegiate Athletics:
Women’s Soccer- Technical Instruction:
Assist the Head Coach in the planning and execution of daily practices, specialized position training, and game-day tactical adjustments. - Recruitment:
Identify, evaluate, and recruit high-caliber student‑athletes who align with the academic and athletic standards of the institution. - Student‑Athlete Development:
Monitor academic progress and foster the holistic development (athletic, personal, and professional) of team members. - Compliance:
Ensure all program activities remain in strict accordance with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional regulations.
- Technical Instruction:
- Facility Operations: ASB Sports Complex
- Operations Support:
Collaborate directly with the Complex Director to manage the daily operations of the "Dome." - Strategic Scheduling:
Coordinate facility requests and maintain a complex master schedule for internal athletic teams and external community partners. - Event Coordination:
Assist in the logistical setup and oversight of events, tournaments, and community programs hosted within the facility.
- Operations Support:
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred). - Experience:
Previous collegiate playing or coaching experience is highly preferred. - Skills:
Strong administrative proficiency; experience with scheduling software or facility management is a plus. - Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups including students, staff, and the public. - Availability:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
