Job Summary
 The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting material availability, and ensuring inventory levels align with operational needs. This role helps keep materials organized, tracked, and ready for use while working closely with purchasing, warehouse, operations, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities
 Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and equipment against purchase orders, packing slips, and other shipping documents
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems, ensuring transactions are entered correctly and in a timely manner
 Perform regular cycle counts and participate in scheduled physical inventory audits to validate inventory accuracy and identify trends in discrepancies
 Investigate inventory variances, root causes, and data errors; research and correct discrepancies through reconciliation and follow-up with internal teams or vendors
 Monitor stock levels, usage patterns, and reorder points to help prevent shortages, excess inventory, and project delays; communicate replenishment needs proactively
 Organize, label, and maintain storage areas, shelves, bins, and warehouse locations to support accuracy, efficiency, and safe material handling
 Track material movement, returns, transfers, and adjustments throughout the inventory lifecycle to ensure traceability and accountability
 Support shipping, receiving, staging, and materials handling activities as needed to keep materials flowing efficiently through the operation
 Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, quality expectations, and inventory control best practices
 Collaborate with project managers, procurement, warehouse, operations, and field teams to support project schedules, operational requirements, and material availability
 Essential Skills & Experience
 High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant training preferred
 1–3 years of inventory, warehouse, logistics, or materials coordination experience preferred

Experience with inventory control systems, ERP software, or Microsoft Excel
 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
 Ability to lift and move materials as required by the job
 Good communication and problem-solving skills
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
 Familiarity with barcode scanning or warehouse management systems
 Knowledge of shipping/receiving processes
 Basic understanding of construction, industrial, or manufacturing materials
