Accounts Payable Specialist

Elite Executive Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's amazing team in Elk Point, SD.

This role will manage the full‑cycle AP process in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices related to materials, production, and operations.

• Process high‑volume invoices
• Review and verify invoices
• Ensure accurate coding to general ledger accounts, job costing, and departments
• Maintain vendor records and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies promptly
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, and wires)
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments in accordance with company terms
• Assist with month‑end close, including accruals and reporting
• Maintain organized digital and physical records in compliance with company policies

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (experience with manufacturing systems preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
