Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sioux City, IA. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. The Accounting Manager will manage accounting processes for fixed assets, monitor financial performance, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Daily responsibilities include reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and providing analytical insights to leadership.

The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting audits, and mentoring accounting staff to maintain accurate and efficient financial reporting.
Qualifications

  • Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements and support Finance-related decision-making.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for variance analysis, forecasting, and problem-solving in accounting and finance.
  • Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger management, including month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Experience managing Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements, with experience using accounting and ERP software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading or mentoring accounting team members.
