Director of Finance – Non-Profit Organization

Monday - Friday, 8A - 4:30 PM Pay: DOE

A well-established non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial operations for the organization and its related entities and programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting/finance professional who enjoys a mission-driven non-profit environment, has strong technical accounting skills, and is comfortable working with leadership and boards. Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Prepare work papers for audit along with managing & coordinating annual financial audits. Lead and supervise accounting and finance staff of five. Oversee payroll and benefit processing and related compliance. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports. Provide financial guidance to affiliated programs and entities. Support senior leadership with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.

Present financial information to leadership, boards, and committees.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 5–7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Must have fund accounting experience (previous non-profit accounting experience is preferred). CPA preferred. Experience with audits, internal controls, payroll, and financial reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. Previous experience making presentations to a Board.
