Intermediate Merchandising Coordinator
This position assists the Merchandiser(s) in the process of purchasing, marketing and delivery of feed ingredients. Key responsibilities include timely and accurate entry of transactional data into the appropriate operating systems, record maintenance for both purchase and sales, completion of the transactional piece of transportation logistics, assists Merchandiser with freight negotiations, handles Customer / Supplier requests & issues, utilize effective and efficient communications with Customers and Suppliers.
This position also coordinates with the Accounting Department to insure timely processing of invoices / payments, reconciliation of receipt discrepancies and reconciliation of invoice discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Perform required operating system(s) data entry functions (purchase order entry, requisition Processing, report creation & analysis, inventory reporting & review, general business functions).
- Serve as liaison with Accounting Department to reconcile invoice and receiving discrepancies. Responsible for the timely communication of new branch plant setups, month end inventory balances and new client plant start-up information.
- Ingredient purchase and sales contract record maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or a combination of education and relevant work experience required.
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Agriculture, Logistics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain transaction, inventory, and contract information.
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, manage multiple priorities, and adjust to changing business needs and deadlines.
- Ability to identify problems, suggest solutions, and take appropriate action within assigned responsibilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, transportation providers, coworkers, and leaders.
- Ability to recognize and report operational, logistics, financial, or customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create, maintain, analyze, and interpret spreadsheets and reports.
- Ability to learn and use company systems, transportation platforms, and other business tools needed for the role.
- Ability to handle sensitive business, customer, supplier, and financial information confidentially and in accordance with company policies.
Pay Range: $51,520 - $77,280. This role is hourly and paid biweekly.
