Short Staffed Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead / Foreman to oversee crews working with a local construction and landscaping company. This is an ongoing position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, an excellent work ethic, and the ability to manage crews while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Travel may be required based on job site demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a crew on landscaping and light construction projects
Coordinate daily job site activities and assign tasks to team members
Ensure proper installation of mulch, gravel, decorative rock, and other materials
Oversee site preparation, grading, and final cleanup
Load, unload, and manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site
Train and mentor crew members to improve performance and efficiency
Monitor productivity and ensure deadlines are met
Enforce all safety policies and procedures at all times
Operate and oversee the safe use of hand tools and equipment
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site

Qualifications:

Previous landscaping or construction experience required (leadership experience strongly preferred)
Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor as needed
Reliable transportation required; ability to travel is a plus
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while taking full ownership of job site performance
