POSITION:

10 Month Registrar and Family Liaison Student Services at ESC

WORK DAYS:
Monday through Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Registrar and Family Liaison Student Services's primary responsibilities are:

1) Registering Students in the District

2) Identifying, registering, and offering transition support for newcomer students and families, attending different meetings, and other office and advocacy-related responsibilities.

3) Interprets for school/parent conversations, over the phone as needed, and at meetings and Translates documents as needed.

4) Supports the Student Services Department with different tasks.

5) Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bilingual Preferred (English plus a Second Language)

* High School Diploma required. 2 years or more post-secondary education desired

* Strong oral and written communication skills with parents, students, and teachers

* Computer experience working with Word and Excel

* Ability to work with students from a diverse background

* Self-starter

* Ability to multi-task

* Experience working in a team atmosphere

* Strong organizational skills

* Must have reliable transportation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently walk, stoop, bend, and sit. The noise level in the work environment ranges from mild to loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal office physical demands. May periodically have moderate physical demands and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Generally, the employee works inside.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Will perform other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent or designee, necessary and appropriate to the achievement of the program and/or District goals and objectives.
