Morningside University’s Rosen School of Business seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting to begin August 16, 2027. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position.

Strong candidates will be those who are eager to share their knowledge, skills and experiences with Morningside students, while actively contributing to the School’s projects and initiatives. We are particularly interested in applicants who can teach a range of introductory to advanced undergraduate courses. There may be opportunities for the selected candidate to teach MBA-level courses, if they are eligible to do so.

Ideal candidates will be those with prior teaching experience, industry experience, or experience in auditing or taxation. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and service to the School, University, profession, and community.

The faculty member will assist in supporting the Accounting majors, including curriculum review, course scheduling input, and assessment data collection supporting Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) accreditation. The faculty member will contribute to the School’s strategic capstone and lead the continued development of a rigorous accounting curriculum as the School pursues initial programmatic accreditation from IACBE.

• A full teaching load is 24 credits per academic year.
• Our semester-long undergraduate classes are 4-credit hours courses. Some 2-credit courses are offered for either the first half (FH) or second half (SH) of the semester.
• MBA-level classes are concentrated 3-credit hour courses that are offered either FH or SH of any given semester (with additional MBA-level courses offered during the summer).
• Opportunities to teach overload and/or teach during the summer session may be possible, dependent upon the student demand and approval by Academic Affairs.
