** Position Overview
** This position is responsible for contributing to product and technology research and development efforts in a manner that meets the needs of customers, achieves growth and profitability objectives, and allows for efficient and effective product introduction.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Develop, plan and implement product and technology development projects from conception to production
* Provide technical support to manufacturing by identifying and implementing process and formulation improvements that improve throughput, reduce cost, enhance quality, improve product performance, enhance worker safety and protect the environment
* Provide technical support to operations and business/technology development, assisting with the identification and assessment of new technology and/or process improvement initiatives
* Establish, maintain, report on and accomplish the priorities established in a technical project plan; manage and control the budgeted expenses associated with the technical plan
* Recognize and respond to seasonal and project-specific time constraints

** Minimum

Qualifications & Skills
*** Master’s degree in chemistry required, PhD preferred
* 1-2 years’ professional research or industrial experience required
* Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
* Detail oriented with strong documentation skillset required
* Ability to travel 10-15%, as required
** Physical Requirements and Working Environment
*** Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work
* Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
* Exposure to dust, chemicals, hazardous materials etc.
