The IT Support Technician provides technical advice and support to help staff throughout the organization use computer software and hardware. This role relies on experience and judgment, as well as pre-established procedures, to identify, research, and resolve technical problems. The technician also documents, tracks, and monitors issues to ensure timely resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support to employees via email, phone, and in person
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other devices
- Create and manage user network and application accounts
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively
- Develop and maintain helpdesk procedures to improve efficiency and consistency
- Provide end-user training and create clear, written user guides
- Collaborate with IT team members to maintain network security and system stability
- Evaluate, test, and deploy software and hardware upgrades
- Participate in an on-call rotation and perform system maintenance as needed outside regular business hours
- Required for this position: strong analytical and problem resolution skills, excellent attention to detail, understanding of IT services processes and procedures, organizational skills, independent thinking, self-motivation, and strong oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4 year college degree or related work experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing directions
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow through independently until project completion
- Experience with workstations, desktop and network printers, and peripherals
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and common business software programs
- Help desk experience or equivalent IT support role
HOURS:
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call rotation and occasional after-hours as needed.

Education – Preferred
Bachelors or better.
Experience – Preferred
Experience with workstations, desktop and network printers, and peripherals; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and business software; help desk or IT support experience.
