Our client, a trusted food manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled Plant Sanitation Manager to lead their sanitation program and champion the highest standards of food safety. This is a hands‑on leadership role with the opportunity to impact operations across the entire facility, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and GFSI standards.
In this environment, sanitation is more than cleaning — it’s about precision, allergen control, and supporting multiple customer product lines. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in GMPs, allergen management, SSOPs, and sanitation best practices, along with the leadership skills to develop and inspire a high‑performing team.

What You’ll Do- Lead the Sanitation Program – Develop, implement, and oversee sanitation procedures that meet all regulatory, customer, and co‑manufacturing standards.
- Ensure Allergen Control – Manage changeovers, validations, and documentation to protect against cross‑contamination and meet customer‑specific requirements.
- Build & Develop the Team – Train, coach, and mentor sanitation staff in GMP, allergen management, food safety, and chemical handling.
- Drive Compliance & Readiness – Oversee inspections, ATP swabbing, environmental monitoring, and ensure the facility is always audit‑ready.
- Collaborate Cross‑Functionally – Work closely with Plant, Quality, Maintenance, and Business Unit leaders to resolve sanitation issues and support production goals.
- Champion Continuous Improvement – Identify and implement new processes, tools, and technologies to enhance sanitation effectiveness and efficiency.
- Leadership experience managing sanitation in food manufacturing, co‑manufacturing, or co‑packing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SSOPs, allergen management, and food safety standards (FDA, USDA, SQF, or BRC).
- Hands‑on familiarity with sanitation chemicals, validation procedures, and environmental monitoring.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
