Summary Bring your leadership to Sioux City, Iowa. The Production Supervisor provides day‑to‑day leadership and direction to the production team, ensures staff meets production and quality standards, maintains safety, and promotes positive working relationships. The position guarantees timely, cost‑efficient production and distribution of company products and has authority to make day‑to‑day decisions based upon established policy and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure products are run in proper order, completed on time, rotated properly, and detection equipment operates correctly.
  • Maintain packaging materials tracking and ordering as needed.
  • Meet all facility operational plans for yield, throughput, line efficiency, and quality requirements.
  • Continuously reduce turnover, improve safety results as measured by the Safety Scorecard, and create an environment that will make the facility the employer of choice.
  • Implement processes to continually train and develop hourly production associates to maximize individual and team results.
  • Develop new ideas and methods to improve operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability.
  • Support and promote the company’s annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective planning and communication, emphasizing the requirement for all team members to be efficient and effective in their respective responsibilities.
  • Monitor and sign off on associates’ timecards, manage break windows, and apply disciplinary actions when needed.
Minimum Education
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
  • 6 to 10 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience Requirements
  • Previous supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading people and achieving results.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1‑to‑3 year horizon.
  • Ability to develop, organize, deploy, and complete multiple protocols or projects on schedule.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills at the strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
Experience Preferred
  • Bilingual:
    Spanish/English preferred.
Environmental Factors &

Physical Requirements
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in Plant Environment
  • Exposure to wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Temperature conditions ranging from 28°F to 100°F with high humidity.
  • Product handling temperatures 25°F to 50°F.
  • Noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
  • Chemicals used in pork processing.
  • Use of protective and safety equipment as directed.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Physical demands include bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motions varying in weight and repetition.
