Summary/Primary Purpose: The Kettle Driver exists to further the mission of the Salvation Army by transporting Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. Must be of good moral character and able to interact with the public in a friendly and compassionate manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Significant experience will be considered in lieu of.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Employee may often be required to engage in rigorous activities. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying objects (50 lbs.)
Working Conditions: The work environment is indoors and outdoors, with the potential of inclement weather conditions.

* Christmas positions are temporary, up to 90 days, and are not entitled to benefits. Hours of work may vary and are not guaranteed.
* All Christmas positions have expectations that must be met in order to qualify for work assignments and ongoing temporary employment. This includes expectations in donations received.
* The Salvation Army, as a church, is exempt from participation in federal and state unemployment insurance programs. Upon termination, employees are not eligible for Unemployment Compensation.
* The Salvation Army work sites are Drug & Alcohol Free Workplaces, and are totally free of the use, possession or working under the influence of the illegal drugs and alcohol.
