Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

• Deliver comprehensive skilled nursing care to patients within the home setting
• Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide quality end‑of‑life care and support to patient, family, and caregivers

• Flexible, multitasker, demonstrates effective communication and assessment skills
• IA RN license
• BLS required
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required

• Greater independence – key communicator between patient, family members, and primary care providers
• Rewarding patient relationships – develop rapport with patients and their family members through case management

• 72 hours a pay period – 8‑hour shifts
• Typically one holiday of on‑call only per year – self‑scheduled
• Typically one weekend of on‑call only every 6 weeks – self‑scheduled
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
