Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring prior step down experience and active Iowa or compact licensure.

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit
• Cares for patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry-level care
• Shift schedule and specific hours are not detailed
• Will float to the Emergency Department as needed
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Required to provide a supervisory reference from the last 2 years for consideration
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, except in Madison where locals are accepted with a rate adjustment
• May be required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays:
  Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Requests for time off during specified holiday periods are limited to 1 day

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of previous step down nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Driver’s license required for consideration
