Overview
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner sought to join current team for a renowned level II neonatal state of the art NICU unit. The team consists of three Neonatologists and three Nurse Practitioners. You will use an evidence based approach together with advanced clinical skills to provide holistic care for the sick and/ low birth weight infants and their families. Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
Attend high-risk deliveries and initiate emergency management of the neonatal k with attending neonatologist to admit and discharge infants to and from the NICU. Work with referring facilities and be a member of the neonatal transport team. Transporting neonates to and from higher and lower levels of care. You will be involved in education, consultation and evidence-based practice implementation.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and initiate emergency management of the neonate at birth.
- Collaborate with attending neonatologists to admit and discharge infants to and from the NICU.
- Work with referring facilities and be a member of the neonatal transport team; transport neonates to and from higher and lower levels of care.
- Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
- Engage in education, consultation and implementation of evidence-based practice.
- Master of Science in Nursing with completion of an accredited program for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner including preceptorship
- 2-5 years as a neonatal nurse
- Eligible for IA licensure or compact state
- NCC Certification for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
