TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Sioux City, Iowa.

• Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Document and provide physician‑directed care.
• Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating to other care providers as appropriate.
• Provide education and support to patient families, including long‑term care needs.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take and analyze samples for lab work, order laboratory tests, and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing.
• Communicate patients' conditions to family members.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds regularly; lifting of patients up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Manage hazards from exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases while caring for patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
