American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift travel contract requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg-Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IA state RN license or compact license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
• 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience required
• Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required
• Chemotherapy certification and administration experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• High acuity care experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration

• Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team for Med/Surg-Oncology patients
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during peak holiday blackout periods
• Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
• First-time travelers may be considered
