American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• Works in a general medical/surgical floor unit specializing in Surgery/Urology, caring for post-op patients requiring overnight stays
• Patient population includes prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgery, and thyroidectomy cases
• Administers Heparin drips
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float to other med/surg tele units required, potentially across local campuses

• Active RN license, Iowa or compact
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Valid driver's license required
• Skills Checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry required
• One supervisory reference or performance evaluation completed within the last two years required

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team providing patient care
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Navy blue scrub dress code
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
• Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday weeks in late November and late December
