Pipe Welder - Journeyman

Work with a team to complete general to comprehensive pipe welding tasks as assigned. This position must be able to stick weld and or TIG weld pipe from Schedule 5 to very heavy pipe.

Salary

$28 - $35/hr DOE

Responsibilities

* Ability to read and understand blueprints and isometric drawings

* Ability to TIG weld stainless piping (GTAW)

* Ability to Arc weld carbon steel piping (SMAW)

* Ability to efficiently operate various hand and power tools

* Ability to take directions and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers

* Ability to be self-motivated, work independently or as part of a team

* Ability to work at elevations, and weld in position

* Ability to help and assist others when needed

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years' experience pipe welding (industrial setting preferred)

* Tig welding stainless steel pipe (socket weld, open root, sanitary)

* Arc welding carbon steel pipe (open root)

* Must be able to pass a weld test (company)

* Pipe fitting experience beneficial

* Valid drivers' license (good record preferred)

* Ability to travel frequently, work overtime and weekends

* Ability to pass drug test and physical capacity profile
