Entry-Level HVAC Maintenance Technician

This position performs routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs on residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. It is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in developing their skills toward becoming a fully qualified HVAC Technician.

• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal inspections on residential HVAC equipment.
• Replace filters, belts, capacitors, contractors, and thermostats as needed.
• Clean evaporator and condenser coils and condensate drain lines.
• Inspect equipment, identify issues, and report deficiencies.
• Assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle.
• Follow all safety procedures and established standards.
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents.
• Participate in after-hours emergency/on-call service after completing training.

• High school diploma or GED.
• HVAC or technical training preferred.
• 6 months–1 year of maintenance, construction, or HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic understanding of heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude, dependability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate professionally.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in confined spaces.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, standing, and walking.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional overtime and participation in an on-call rotation after training.
