ROLEOVERVIEW
Responsible to operate tractor trailer belly dump and maintain properly to transport material to designated location in a timely manner. Will travel up to a 150-mile radius of Sioux City. This is a seasonal position that typically works April – November depending on the schedule with a winter lay‑off.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Uses safe work procedures that comply with safety policies and regulations. (Federal, state, local and company policies.)
- Pre and post trip inspections. Maintains driver logs when applicable.
- Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform.
- Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
- Clean spilled material/buildup off box, belt, and gates.
- Verify that gates are closed.
- Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch.
- Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork.
- Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
- Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations.
- Must be self‑motivated, team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive attitude and act courteous and respectful toward others.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention and initiate action on that recognition.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and the public.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Class A required. Hazmat and tanker endorsements, preferred
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, including medical card, and must have an acceptable driving record
- Previous truck driving experience, preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime
Beginning pay $25.85, and up, depending on experience.
