Job Title: Dock Coordinator II – North Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job SummaryThe Dock Coordinator II – North Warehouse is responsible for all operations at our North Warehouse facility. This includes receiving and unloading trucks from outside suppliers and internal inventory transfers, put-aways and stock arrangements, order picking and verification, pallet tagging, and loading both customer shipments and internal inventory transfers. A Dock Coordinator II is expected to be adaptable, responsive to operational needs, and able to contribute to the overall efficiency of warehousing operations.
Duties/Responsibilities- Operate forklift and electric/manual pallet jack
- Coordinate workload to ensure that all activities are completed in a timely manner
- Safely load and unload products from trailers
- Arrange stock in the warehouse
- Accurately and efficiently pick inventory to customer orders – verify that the correct product is in the bin, scan bar coded boxes with hand-held RF scanner, pick correct number of cases to the order, and inspect products for defects and/or damage
- Shrink-wrap finished pallets using a wrapping machine and stage orders in the warehouse
- Create pallet identification labels as required by customers
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Perform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasks
- Check equipment to ensure health and safety requirements are met
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Proficient with PC systems and software applications
- Ability to read and understand product labels, lot codes, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping and receiving documents
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levels
- Ability to work overtime as needed and as required
- Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct
- High school diploma/GED required
- 5+ years for forklift experience
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for movement between warehouse locations in Sioux City
- WMS and scanner experience required
- Experience working with food products and familiarity with lot codes and expiration dates, FEFO rotation, etc.
- Warehouse environment
- Lift 5 – 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 – 50 pounds occasionally
- Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to go up and down stairs and walk to other departments in the manufacturing facility
- Repetitive motion and fast paced movement
- Work may require bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching
- Temperatures of warehouse may vary
