Accounts Payable Specialist

We are growing and are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. Daily responsibilities include:
- Perform accounts payable duties such as verifying all invoices for payment, ensuring expenditures are charged to the appropriate accounts and proper approval has been documented.
- Assist with the check run process and reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Recording cash transactions within the accounting system.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Assisting with the month end closing processes.
- Providing quarterly reporting of capital expenditures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Practice effective communication by maintaining regular contact with the Controller.
- Work in an honest and ethical manner; always maintain confidentiality.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate initiative and possess the following skills and knowledge:
- A two-year accounting degree
- 3+ years of experience in processing accounts payable
- Knowledge in South Dakota Sales and Use Tax
- Quick Books Experience
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team setting.
