Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties such as verifying all invoices for payment
• Ensuring expenditures are charged to the appropriate accounts and proper approval has been documented
• Assist with the check run process and reconciliation of supplier statements
• Recording cash transactions within the accounting system
• Reconciliation of bank accounts
• Assisting with the month end closing processes
• Providing quarterly reporting of capital expenditures
• Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements
• Practice effective communication by maintaining regular contact with the Controller
• Work in an honest and ethical manner; always maintain confidentiality

• A two-year accounting degree
• 3+ years of experience in processing accounts payable
• Knowledge in South Dakota Sales and Use Tax
• Quick Books Experience
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication and customer service skills
• Ability to adapt to change and work well in a team setting.
